Daniel Clément est un anthropologue, écrivain et éditeur québécois. Conservateur d’ethnologie au Musée canadien des civilisations, directeur de recherche au Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS), il a également enseigné dans diverses universités. Ses travaux de recherche portent essentiellement sur les autochtones, le savoir environnemental, les mythes, les rites, les techniques et l’organisation socioparentale.
