    Catel Muller, ou Catel, diplômée des Arts décoratifs de Strasbourg, se spécialise dans le portrait en bandes dessinées de femmes remarquables. Son album Ainsi soit Benoîte Groult chez Grasset obtient le prix Artémisia de la bande dessinée féminine. Chez Casterman, ses biographiques consacrées aux clandestines de l’Histoire Kiki de Montparnasse, Olympe de Gouges et Joséphine Baker, sont multiprimées et traduites dans le monde entier. Couronnée en 2018 du Grand prix belge Diagonale-Rossel pour l’ensemble de son œuvre, Catel s’est imposée comme une autrice majeure de la bande dessinée.
