Résumé

A little boy tries to kiss a little girl. No big deal. The little girl gets away and sends the little boy packing. Nothing more than an anecdote amongst many others of any normal childhood. But if this event takes place at school in a Socialist republic, half way through a propaganda movie, years before the wall is even showing the slightest sign of giving out... Well, it's asking for trouble. This is the story of two children in a society in which paranoia and obsessive control mean that even the most innocent gesture can be blown completely out of proportion.

  • Marzena Sowa (auteur)

    Marzena Sowa came to France in 2001 to finish her studies that she had begun in Krakow. In Bordeaux, she met the artist Sylvain Savoia, and from 2004 onwards, they worked together on the "Marzi" series (Dupuis 2005, Europe Comics 2017), which depicts Marzena's childhood memories of Poland during the final years of the communist regime. The seventh volume of the series was released in July 2017. The series achieved international success and was nominated at the Angoulême International Comics Festival and also for an Eisner Award in the U.S. In 2013, with Sandrine Revel, Sowa published "N'embrassez pas qui vous voulez" (Dupuis; "You Can't Just Kiss Anyone You Want," Europe Comics 2017) which presents another view of the Soviet era. In 2014, with the artist Gawron, she published "L'Insurrection - Avant l'orage," which takes place in Poland at the tail end of World War II.

    Elle a une douzaine d'albums à son crédit, dont la série jeunesse multiprimée Un drôle d'ange gardien (Delcourt, 1999-20008), avec Denis-Pierre Filippi au scénario. En 2012 elle signe avec Marzena Sowa N'embrassez pas qui vous voulez (Dupuis). Son Glen Gould à contre-temps (Dargaud 2015) est couronné du prix Artémisia.
