Résumé

Lucky Luke is naar het gebied van de Apachen gestuurd om uit te zoeken waarom er daar nog steeds oorlog heerst tussen de indianen en de bleekgezichten. Er blijkt een persoonlijke vete te zijn tussen kolonel O'Nollan en Patromino, het opperhoofd van de Apachen. De Apachen, toen nog onder opperhoofd Bestico, hebben jaren geleden de zoon van O'Nollan ontvoert en de kolonel is nog steeds op zoek. Lucky Luke besluit te infiltreren bij de Apachen om de zoon van de kolonel te vinden, maar vooral om een einde te maken aan deze zinloze strijd ...

    Born and raised in Belgium, author Morris moved to the United States in 1946 and stayed six years. There, he worked for MAD magazine, gathered documentation on the Old West, and experienced firsthand Lucky Luke’s home. In 1992 the jury awarded him the Special 20th Anniversary Grand Prix at the International Angouleme Comic Festival.
