Isthmes du Temps
Résumé
Un isthme relie deux aires par un fin cordon naturel. Lieu du combat entre terre et mer, sa particularité géologique, passage et lien fragile, est la source d’une réflexion sur le geste et la trace picturale. La topographie de l’isthme devient alors une image possible de temporalités séparées qui se font écho et cherchent leur jonction.
Les images écrites et photographiques tentent de suggérer l’entrelacs de l’espace et du temps, en résonance avec l’acte de peindre.
An isthmus connects two areas by a thin natural thread. Place of the battle between land and sea, its geological particularity, passage and fragile link, is the source of a reflection on the gesture and the pictorial trace. The topography of the isthmus then becomes a possible image of separate temporalities which echo each other and seek their junction.
The written and photographic images attempt to suggest the intertwining of space and time, in resonance with the act of painting.
