Natasha Farrant est aux trois quarts française et un peu néerlandaise. Elle vit à Londres avec ses deux filles adolescentes, qui inspirent sans cesse ses livres, et son chat, Amber, l'être avec qui elle parle le plus. Elle aimerait avoir un cheval, une grande maison ancienne remplie de cachettes secrètes, beaucoup de chiens et une vue sur la mer et les collines, mais, malheureusement, tout cela n'est pas compatible avec la vie en ville...Elle associe l'écriture à une carrière dans l'édition jeunesse. Elle a écrit plusieurs livres pour la jeunesse dont «La Folle Vie de Bluebell Gadsby» (Hachette Jeunesse) et a été nommée pour des prix, dont la prestigieuse Carnegie Medal.
