Randolph Carter is not sure what has happened to his closest friend Harley Warren. The two of them decided to visit an old cemetery in a swamp, but something did not go as planned. Carter was found dazed on the edge of the swamp the next morning. His memory is uncertain and indistinct – but he does remember some of the awful happenings.‘The Statement of Randolph Carter’ is a horror short story written by H. P. Lovecraft.
