Niedługo później znika Virginia, córka Otisów... Oscar Wilde (1856-1900) – angielski prozaik, poeta i dramatopisarz irlandzkiego pochodzenia. Czołowy przedstawiciel modernizmu, zwolennik skrajnego estetyzmu. Pisał poezję, nowele i opowiadania. Wielką popularnością cieszyły się jego salonowe komedie obyczajowe. Jednak prawdziwą sławę przyniosła mu powieść „Portret Doriana Greya". Wilde był znany z ekstrawaganckiego stylu życia, podziwiano go za finezję stylu. Pod koniec życia został ofiarą homofobicznego prawa – wytoczono mu proces za homoseksualizm i skazano na dwa lata ciężkich robót. Zmarł w przytułku dla ubogich w Paryżu.

Installé à Londres, il choque la société mondaine par ses extravagances, son cynisme et ses pièces de théâtre sont souvent interdites de représentation. Mais c'est son roman, Le Portrait de Dorian Gray , qui lui assure le succès. A l'heure où l'homosexualité est punie par la loi, la relation passionnée qu'il entretient avec Lord Alfred Douglas le conduit à purger deux années de travaux forcés. A sa sortie, c'est un homme brisé qui rejoint son amant en Italie.
Enterré au Père-Lachaise, Oscar Wilde reste une figure majeure de la littérature dont l'atmosphère singulière continue de provoquer l'admiration.

I began this journey a few years ago as a medium. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that would lead me to be able to hear G-D, Jesus and some Arch Angels. Almost every morning I would sit down either at the beach or later in my house, to listen to the great spirits tell me their wisdom. It would take a full year to put together this book.
