Charles Lutwidge Dodgson better known by the pseudonym Lewis Carroll (1832 – 1898), was an English author, mathematician, logician, Anglican deacon and photographer.

À l’origine écrite pour amuser les enfants du doyen de son Collège, dont une petite Alice, l’histoire d’Alice au Pays des Merveilles paraît en 1865 et est tout de suite un grand succès.
