Gil Adamson, née en 1961, est romancière, nouvelliste et poète. Son premier roman, La Veuve, publié chez Christian Bourgois éditeur en 2009 puis chez 10/18 par la suite, a été un grand succès critique et public, couronné notamment par le Drummer’s General Award et le Dashiell Hammett Prize, qui l’a tout de suite imposée comme l’une des nouvelles voix les plus prometteuses de la littérature anglophone au Canada. Elle vit à Toronto.
